John Deere Reindeer

Tractor Reindeer
As far as I know tractors can’t fly
BUT……
on Christmas Eve day,
Santa traveled this way
in a green shovel sleigh
pulled by John Deere
reindeer.
Santa waving
Later that evening
those tractors—oooh what a sight!
Do you think they flew
around the world in one night?

    Getting ready for a parade?

    • Not part of a moving parade—just very creative Christmas decorations. There are 12 tractors (mostly John Deere), tied together in a large arc across the front of a farmer’s yard. In the grass, spotlights had been placed carefully by each tractor–so that people drivng by can even see the tractor scene by night. A unique way to wish others a Merry Christmas.

  2. is that Snoopy in Santa clothes I see? :D

I have recently downloaded a documentary Megafactories Natgeo, it is about John Deere. it is superb, magnificient and you are here with their photographs, oh what a coincidence

  4. belated merry christmas pal!

  5. And best wishes to you also, Personal Concerns!
Yesterday and today, the clouds have been trying to snow.
But it is about 5 degrees above freezing here, so we are having mostly rain mush (part snow/part rain). Ho, Ho, Ho!

Em here from A Melange.. I’ll keep it short.
Just wanted to thank you for the happiness! I LOVE this! It made me smile, so Christmasy..is that even a word?..lol. Wish I could write poetry. Mine is horrible so I don’t.
I’m keeping it together, I think, and recently it has been getting easier! MJ took a break also. We find you very inspiring.
Take care and thank you for the much needed JOY!

  7. Thanks! Merry Christmas to both you and MJ.
Let’s all stay warm and happy today!
I drove in the rain mush (confused between rain and snow) this morning
and am now back home relaxing.

  8. What a wonderful blog you have. I love the way you write, the way you think…mashed potato clouds, a witch in Shenadoah, I can just imagine the stories you tell your children. The words combined with the photos…perfect. But since I myself own a John Deere, I had to place my comment here. No Santas in my front end loader, but maybe next year!

  9. Santa looked pretty comfortable sitting in that big shovel (front end loader?), so I think he has a lot of confidence in his John Deere reindeer. Must be a great reliable tractor!

  10. Yes. Santa was going in grand style.
