Spring flowers fading
summer falls into autumn
comes the winter soon.
A cool chill enters
autumn moves life into death
in my heart, sadness.
Time aging all things…
spectacular colors bring
a bittersweet end
to what once was mine. ~ms

please don’t be too sad Mary, i’m not sure autumn brings life into death …. rather autumn quite possibly brings life into a well deserved nap in preparation for the springtime when the real party begins all over again and where most everything reawakens with a renewed sense of vigor that can be quite inspiring indeed especially when walking through the forest, breathing with the trees ….

That’s true. It all comes circling around.
My children grew up in Hawaii, so the first time we came to the East Coast during the cold winter months, my children were upset by all the leafless trees. My daughter said, “I don’t like it here. All of these trees are dead.”
I told her not to worry, it all comes back in the Spring.
She looked at me, frowned, and said, “Oh right….sure mom….No Way.”
She thought I was delusional.
Hard to believe that miles and miles of barren trees are going to suddenly “come back.” The cylce of life isn’t readily apparent at first glance.
