on a brightly lit night …
See how gently the trees
hold this cold November moon
in their dark arms.
I stand far below
looking up from my small world
in shadows covered,
as my wandering thoughts go

Thanks Seth. I could see the full moon when I went to the front of my house. But the moon got captured by the trees in the back because my yard is on a downhill slant.
While I was out there, I could hear things running through the woods. It was probably deer. But werewolf did cross my mind…. 😉

Thanks Gary. Don’t start to feel left out. You live in Washington (State), right? So, I would guess it is much colder there right now than it is here in Virginia.
Considering that, it is probably better for you to be inside at night than left out. I was outside wandering around in the not-too-cold, and I caught the moon.
And…I hope I didn’t catch a cold too.

Yesterday night ! i was amazed too with the moon ! it was very bright inside a clear sky ! i wish i had a still camera to capture the moon that moment !

How? Well….I wandered around outside for a long time and took many pictures.
I was using a Canon PowerShot SX40HS. It’s a “bridge camera” that has a few more features than a standard ‘point and shoot,’ but it does not have as many features as an SLR camera.
I believe there is a newer model out now, but I don’t know if newer means better.
I love it. All the way to the moon and back.

I love my Canon SX40HS!! Makes that moon shot so much easier … I actually bought mine during the full moon and was just stunned with the result! fun, fun, fun!!

But be forewarned.
A unique way of looking at the world comes with a few problems.
People who spend a lot of time wandering around in the “world of thought,” tend to forget exactly where they have been, lose track of where they are going, and often arrive at who knows where in the physical world.
It’s very interesting, but rather unnerving. Many people call me “directionally challenged.”
Thank goodness for the invention of GPS and cell phones! Now no matter how far I wander away in thought, it is easy to find the physical way back home with a push of a button. 😉

I was wandering through the pine trees, looking up at the moon….and saw the branches gently reaching out. Lucky I didn’t walk right into a tree trunk. Not wise to walk and look up at the sky, at the same time.
