Shivering pine tree
burdened by a heavy snow
dripping ice cold tears
on spring flowers far below…
so tired of winter! ~ms

I said, “Wow! The bent over pine tree in this photo looks like a tired mom carrying her baby!”
Peering over my shoulder, my husband replied, “Ummm…No. I don’t see that.”
I said, “Oh, come on. Take a closer look. Two little legs are hanging out of the snow blanket that the tree is carrying.”
He stared at the photo for a minute or so, and then he shook his head and sighed: “No. I don’t see a mom, a blanket, or a baby. No. Sorry. Just snow on a pine tree.”
I laughed, “OK. Never mind. I see them!”

Me, too! Nice pic and poem.

Yesterday was the only snow storm we had this winter in Fredericksburg, VA.
Maybe it was the last “hurrah” of winter and Spring will now appear!

Oh my goodness. I’m envious. We seem to be having a snow storm every week here in New York (of course, especially on the weekends.) I’m planning on posting a recipe on cold, spicy chinese cucumber in the rather desperate fantasy that it will chase away the winter weather.

Thanks! We got only about 10 inches of snow yesterday, but it was so wet and heavy it was bending trees and breaking branches. Some people lost electricity and phone. But…no fear….Spring is right around the corner.

Yes, I’m tired of it too! Your poor little tree looks so cold! I have hope though as this weekend is supposed to bring some warm temperatures! Hang in there!

I love WARM.
I lived in Hawaii for 11 years and the weather was, in my opinion, absolutely perfect. Some people did not like living there because they missed seeing the 4 seasons.
But I did not care that December was almost the same as July.
Warm feels so good…all of the time!.

Here in Virginia, Winter is still sitting on Spring.
But, it is finally starting to warm up. There is hope.

There IS. Snow is receding but last two days have come with a blustery cold wind. BUT! the daffys have poked their heads through the newly bared soil. 🙂

I hope the ice and snow on the pine tree didn’t leave you feeling cold. 🙂
Rather hot around here now. It’s almost July and the weather yesterday was in the 90s!.
