Flowers Blooming Bright

Flower_1
In the morning light—
cold dark days of winter gone,
flowers blooming bright.

Colors everywhere
illuminating vision,
People stop and stare.

Winter lost its fight
melted by the Robin’s song,
spring is in the air!   ~msFlower_6

All the pear trees are blooming too!
It won’t be long before the warm comes blowing your way.
Wonderful to watch the grey winter world shift into brilliant spring colors.

    • I knew a lady who got very upset when someone sent her flowers while she was in the hospital. She said, “Are you trying to remind me of death while I am sick? These will be dead in just a few days. I don’t want to look at them. Take them away.”
I guess these beautiful flowers are our best reminders that life is short, and we should cherish each moment while we can. 🙂

  11. Wow, I’m so impressed! These flowers belong to a typical Mediterranean flora, were taken on a Mediterranean country or in California/Australia? Best wishes, Àngel

Beautiful flowers! I especially like the daffodils – they’re the most forgiving of flowers to tend, and their bloom is a sure sign that sping has finally arrived. Looks like you had a great walk!

I read through some of your blogs. I see that we are both at the same point in life.
In truth, sometimes I feel that I am running out of time, but I guess….from the moment we were born…the time clock was ticking. It just sounds louder now. 🙂

Second, you have some gorgeous photos! As I look out at the slowly eroding white landscape, I am vibrating with the anticipation of being able to see the flowers live and in person! lol

    • Thank you so much, Scott!
And now, back to work! 😉
Hmmmm, wait. I have always wondered.
What is the difference between play and work?
Some people get paid a lot of money to play baseball, football, golf…etc.
So, when does play become work?
When you get paid for it? Or….when it isn’t fun anymore?
Ooops. My mind is wandering off again. Can you hear it? I have to run and catch it. bye.

Beautiful sight, isn’t it, when Spring shows herself properly? Ours is here too… evidenced by the behaviour of the birds (much frantic wooing!) And the buds of tree leaf shoots, flowers… Lots of yellow and lime green everywhere.

    I love your photos. 🙂

    • Thanks Laurie!
Just looked at your photo of the leaf stuck on the screen.
You have captured an “ordinary” leaf in an extraordinary moment.
Which basically proves…..there is no such thing as ordinary, when we pause and take a closer look ( and stop taking life for granted). I love your blog. 🙂
