Sitting on cat chairs
’cause they all belong to me.
You could have claimed one
but it’s too late now, you see.
After warming this blueness,
don’t ask me to go.
With my own claws and cat hair,
I shaped it just so! ~ms
====================
In truth, Siri (who I fondly call “Seaweed”) is the sweetest and most trusting cat that we have ever had. We adopted her from the Siamese Cat Rescue Center a year and a half ago. She was found taped up in a box with several other kittens, with only 5 small holes punched in the top for air. She could have died in there. If a human had been that cruel to me, I would never have trusted another person again. But Siri has totally forgiven the world for any unkindness that she endured. It is the middle of the night and she is lying right here—watching out for me.

We only have 2 cats….and I wrote about them being my “low-tech computer screen blockers.”
If I had 4 cats, I would probably never see the computer monitor or my keyboard again!

Lol yes, they do love getting in your way for attention. They always make me smile when you are trying to work and they are there…. And you put down your papers, turn around and a cat is laid on them! :))

Exactly!
And the cats cannot deny that they do this, because I have proof.

Seaweed is a real beauty and deserves all the seats in the house. She is special for sure, and so are you. II have a rescue dog. I think they know and forgive. I hope the other kittens were rescued too. This is a lovely post.

Lovely! I like that she takes over two! My Harry also takes over the kitchen chair, the computer chair, the back of the loveseat, the extra pillow on the bed, his own pillow on the quilting table, . . . yep, I guess they are pretty much all his!

Yes….somehow everything ends up belonging to the cat!
Thank goodness they let us use their stuff from time to time. 🙂

There was a third chair there also….I’m surprised she didn’t try to stretch out a little farther and claim that one too!

Thanks John! At this point, I don’t think she remembers being anywhere else. Definitely a forever (fur-ever) home.

Gorgeous cat, we had a Siamese when I was growing up – she lived 19 years. I wish you at least that many healthy years with your baby/

Ah, if only we humans could be so forgiving. Animals have so much to teach us, don’t they. And tell her she’s beautiful for me. 😉

I’ll do that! She’ll love it.
And yes, it would be nice if humans could learn to be that forgiving.
Don’t know if that is ever going to happen though.

What a gorgeous kitty! You have to meet Fortune Cookie, http://wp.me/p499kC-17d Not the brightest cat in the world, but has attitude. 🙂
LikeLike
I went to the link…is Fortune Cookie the little gray cat with the tongue sticking out (definitely some attitude), or the long-haired Siamese (Balinese) cat sitting on the left side of the chair? I have a male Sealpoint cat that looks a lot like the cat in the chair. Know-it-all attitude…he thinks that he can do the equivalent of a Star Trek “Vulcan Mind Meld” and humans will immediately know what he’s thinking. His unblinking stare is somewhat intimidating–but he is really quite gentle. https://storieswithnobooks.com/2014/01/29/cold-cat-winter/

Oh sorry, I meant the Balinese. Thought he would be closer related to your Siamese. As you can see, yours have a more defined look. FC is a little more dreamy. 😉
