Chicken Selfies

If chickens had cell phones with cameras
they could take chicken selfies.
Wouldn’t that be fun?
Chicken-Selfies_5
Chicken-Selfies_1
They could even choose
to spend their free time
chicken photobombing
on the run!

But alas!
What if some chickens think
that others who take selfies
are annoying and quite rude?
chicken-selfies_2
Those birds would soon get cranky
and develop ‘attitude.’
Chicken-Coup-Selfies_3
Then those selfie haters
might fight to have their say,
as they poop, snoop,
and loop their way
around the chicken coop
each and every day.
(instead of laying eggs).
Chicken-coup_2
Oh no!
Simple chicken lives
could become stressful
and extremely complicated.

All things considered
(as a precautionary measure),
new coop rules should be
immediately instated:Chicken-Coup-Selfies_1

  12. Great pictures and beautiful chickens. They are smart to keep the cameras out so that they can lead a stress-free life. We should follow their examples. 😉

    • Ah yes…listen to the cluck 0f chicken wisdom. The more technology advances, the more stressful our lives have become. Those little electronic gadgets were supposed to make things easier so we would have more time. But instead, they seem to have swallowed our free time whole!

It would be even worse if cats had cameras. They already are obnoxious. Can you imagine?

I think the chickens were starting to wonder why I was spending so much time in the chicken coop. It is rather ‘odoriferous’ in there!
My daughter and her family bought baby chicks hoping that they would start laying eggs one day. Even though they appear to be all grown up now, maybe are still too young for ‘egg laying’–they are only 5 months old. (I don’t know much about chickens) 🙂

Chicken selfies, that’s too funny. But I suspect they would have a hard time with a selfie stick.

But with a cellphone camera they could come out of their shells and not feel so cooped in,….
or,…..Would they be combing the internet for roosters/hens ?
Perhaps they would leave pithy comments on Clucks,…… Twitter is so passe. 🙂

Sorry, but you got it started with your creative what if and it is hard to stop pecking at it. 😀

I was in the chicken coop for around 45 minutes or so, taking pictures of these chickens. After a while, they were starting to think I was one of them (a big featherless chicken).
The second to last (7th) photo above, where the chicken’s eyes are half-closed….they really aren’t stressed at all. I was singing to them and making them drowsy.
I was just singing “Ah” and slowly going up and down in pitch–a very simple ‘sing-song’ sound. A couple of them fought to keep their eyes open, but it didn’t take long before they all sat down and went to sleep.
Now what does that say about my singing? Boring?! Hehehehe!

I think that maybe you meant to leave this comment on my post “Autumn Leaves Shapeshifting,” because there are no seats by the lake in the chicken coop, although I am sure the chickens would love that. 🙂 Hehehehe!
