Many people travel to Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley to experience the alluring underground world of Luray Caverns. It’s a great opportunity to see our world from a different and much deeper perspective (literally and figuratively speaking). I was totally impressed! ~ms

Actually, I am rather claustrophobic too–but it doesn’t seem to bother me as much when I am taking pictures.
Although, admittedly, the following thought did cross my mind while I was down there…”WHAT IF I had been down in these caverns when that 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit Virginia last year!”
I would have worried more about that, except I saw another beautiful rock formation and forgot about the earthquake thought.

I have to get there someday; often drive by on other missions to other places and never the time! I know it’s a must-see!

It is very pretty down in the caverns. The lighting is very well done. There is an organ down there too, but you have to be there at the right time to hear it played (Somehow, I have never been there at the right time yet). I would think that the sound is pretty impressive, with the music echoing off the cavern walls.
